The Swedish company ProfilGruppen develops and manufactures customized profiles and components in aluminum. The company’s graphic profile has been around for 20 years, with an update of fonts, colors and templates six years ago, and now it was time to continue that development. The company is also increasing its focus on sustainability issues and felt that it was ready for a rethink of its graphic profile. The aim was also to equip the company for the communication challenges of the future.
Could ProfilGruppen also use help with a new profile?
When ProfilGruppen saw a need to renew its own graphic profile, it turned to Frosting for help. Together, we chiseled out an expression that both reflects the deepened focus on sustainability and lays a good foundation for future challenges in communication. Read more
Since ProfilGruppen and Frosting were new acquaintances, the project team from Frosting boarded the train from Sundsvall to Växjö to learn more about the operations on site at the factory. A rewarding day ended with a return journey that reached its destination many hours later than expected, in the early hours instead of in the evening. But it gave time to discuss ideas and by the morning the group was already in the office to realize ProfilGruppen’s vision.
In this first collaboration, which was marked by frequent reconciliations, Frosting set new typography, a new primary color palette, new graphic elements, an icon library and created new digital templates for PowerPoint and Word. The overall result was a visually sustainable graphic profile that strengthens ProfilGruppen’s image in an appealing way. The project started in December 2023 and was completed in February 2024.
Personal commitment, speed, responsiveness, professionalism and continuous improvement are characteristics that ProfilGruppen wants to communicate. As a healthy and stable company with a lot of experience, they also wanted to continue signaling longevity by bringing the original logo with a high recognition factor into the future.
The project team consisted of Jonas Nilsson, project manager, Anders Björk, art director, and Håkan Norberg, copywriter.
