The task of putting the right stamp on the annual report for 2023 went to Frosting and a clear request from the Swedish Companies Registration Office was that they wanted a document to feel proud of. It should be easy to read with a pleasant design and clear navigation.

We were helped by a well-developed graphic profile with a certain playfulness that the Swedish Companies Registration Office had previously developed. With this as a basis, our designer was keen to develop the design of the annual report further. Based on existing texts and images, he created a whole with a light-hearted spirit that was tied together with graphic elements and complementary illustrations.

Thanks to a clear order from the Swedish Companies Registration Office, we always had a common understanding of the end goal of the project. We were able to work efficiently, both in terms of time and money, and achieve a result that met our client’s vision and satisfied both parties.

One lesson we were reminded of and will take with us from the project is how easy it can be to work creatively when you have a clear framework and an accurate graphic profile to work from. With such good conditions, even highly responsible businesses can convey an inviting and vibrant design expression that strikes the right note.

Frosting’s work included graphic design based on the existing graphic profile, layout, image selection based on the Swedish Companies Registration Office’s image bank, graphics and tables with figures, supplementary illustrations according to the Swedish Companies Registration Office’s design language, some text review and project and production management.

Elin Hallstensson was the project manager and Mikael Ejemar Vikström was the designer and illustrator. Staff writer Jennie Zetterqvist provided text editing.
