Plan with the goal in mind<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Why are you giving this presentation? Who is listening? What do you want them to know, think or do afterwards? How do you want them to feel? Plan your content so that the introduction, main body and conclusion of the presentation lead the audience where you want them to go.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__wrapper grid-x grid-padding-x align-center\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>2. You are the presentation<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Your presentation should tell a story. You have your slides to support your story, but the focus should be on you and your presentation. Practice properly, with the same technology that you will use for the presentation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__wrapper grid-x grid-padding-x align-center\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>3. Make the experience enjoyable<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A screen, projector or TV sends light into the eyes of your audience. Therefore, use dark backgrounds on your slides, it makes them more pleasant to look at.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__wrapper grid-x grid-padding-x align-center\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>4. Many slides are no problem<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Strive to have as little information as possible on each slide, preferably just a few words or one fact and a picture. Spread the content over several slides to support your story, rather than cramming information into one slide.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__wrapper grid-x grid-padding-x align-center\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>5. Don&#8217;t ask your audience to read<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"two-col__content entry-content cell medium-9 large-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Do not write complete sentences in your presentation. It is almost impossible to read text and listen at the same time.
